Extrusion operations are basic blocks for parts. specify the address; the depth; the angle of inclination and the method of finishing for extrusion. extrusion operations can create new bodies in a part file with several bodies. you can add operations that refine the shape of one or more bodies. create a geometry sketch or select a geometry for a new profile; designate the participating bodies and repeat the extrusion operation or select a different operation command. the first operation of a part file is called the base operation. if added to another operation; extrusion can join an existing operation; cut it or intersect with it. you can also create a new solid body. an intersection creates a solid from the volume shared by the two operations and removes any material that is outside its shared limits. a new solid body creates an independent operation that can be edited separately
